About Us

I've always dabbled in art whether creating scrapbooks, designing weddings or making home decor items, but it wasn't until recently that I truly found my place as an artist.

Painting was first recommended by my therapist to help me through a difficult period. I needed a relaxed, creative practice that I could selfishly explore without giving it much thought. Well, since his recommendation, I haven't been able to stop creating!

One afternoon, my son asked me what I was going to do with all the paintings that were piling up in the basement. Soon after, 983 studio was born! And just so you know, I've been feeling a lot better too. Amen!

Diving into the world of mixed media, taking classes, exploring new mediums and experimenting with color has truly been life giving! It is such a fun and therapeutic (see the theme here) process to bring my art to life!

So, why "983" you ask? These numbers hold special significance to me as 983 was the address of my grandmother's house. I have such amazing, warm, beautiful memories with her in that home and I feel some of those same feels when I'm in my studio, creating.

Now, I'm ready to share my art with the world!
